Rokan - /bug-eyed/

The exhibits were snowy and icey, and I thought maybe the big cats wouldn't be out... But they were! The snow made for some nice even light, almost like it was a giant reflector providing another angle to light the cats.

For those wondering, all the big cats made it out, the 4 lions, and all 5 tigers were out at some point today. It was around 33-38 degrees I think.

I think the look on his face is partly due to his pupils being constricted, probably because of all the light being reflected by the snow.

With that look on his face, he looks like the perfect inspiration for a scary Halloween mask ;-) Great shot!

Is it just me, or does facial expression make him look like Hobbs of Calvin and Hobbs fame?
