Max

Cool video of Joe McNally (found via strobist's site):
    www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Av6gCq_awQ

I was finishing up watching the above video, when I remembered that I haven't found my Nikon point and shoot since I got back from vacation. So I started organizing my stuff, and then put away the new camo-coat I got at LL Bean. Of course Max got interested in what was going on and then began to explore that bag (below). So, I had all my gear right next to me and I tossed a flash in to the bag (off camera right) and placed another flash off camera left.

I never found the camera. I think it might be in my car... or still in Maine....

Here's a previous shot of Max that I took in the first few days I had him: Panic Room

      Setup:
      2008_0609_D200_121047asm

Manual exposure, manual flash at around 1/4 in bag and 1/8 on the flash to the left, both with the diffuser cap on.

That is a creative way to bounce the flash back at the subject!

I remember the panic room shot and was wondering if we would get to see him again. You have good detail in black fur which is not easy. Beautiful shot. And thank you for showing your set up.
