World Trade Center - 1970's During Construction

    I knew what I wanted to post this morning, but hadn't rescanned these images since I bought my new scanner less than a year ago.

    Tonight I found the slides and redid this image, and used ps to "fix" it. The slide itself is about 36 years old, and hasn't been well stored. I am surprised it came out this good. (3200dpi scanner, cs's shadow and highlight tool, usm, etc.)

    All that said, I grew up in NY and could see the towers from my hometown, on the edge of the horizon (~20 miles away). I don't think I ever made it in to the towers, but as a kid I dreamed of going someday....

    (One of my relatives took this photo, my dad, uncle, grandpa, I don't remember.)

      Thanks for posting this, Jon. Such a sad day.
      We were there during construction too. As a young girl I couldn't understand how they could be occupying the bottom floors while the upper ones were still under construction! Growing up in a big town (or little city) that just wasn't how things were done here!
