Beautiful, always carry a camera. Everytime I leave mine at home I end up missing shots I really wanted to take.

Hey Vearl, an HDR can be done in Photoshop (hard to broken), or in a program like I used, Photomatrix. To start you need multiple shots that are bracketed for exposure. The above was a 3 shot bracket (dark, regular, bright, exposures). By having darker and brighter exposures, you can capture more details than a single image. Photomatrix works by combining the images in to one and retaining the details from those other exposures. The hard part is to get it back to looking realistic. The human eyes can see more (dynamic) range than a digital camera, so done right, it should just look 'good'. it can also be used for artistic effect or super-natural style results.
You can get a trial version of photomatrix here:

Awesome colors, Jon. Very nicely done. I've been using the trial version of Dynamic Photo HDR and am quite impressed with the results. I haven't used Photomatix yet.

Thanks Jon for the HDR info, I was wondering how to do that. Great colors. Where in Maryland? We have started to get some great color. Really pretty.

This is well done. Good colors and it doesn't look flat like many HDRs.

Great example of a nature HDR, Jon. We just started dabbling with it a little ourselves. And shots like this are what made me want to do it!
