Silence and Respect

    Arlington National Cemetery 11/2/2007.

There are signs all over the grounds that read "Silence and Respect". I got there early, was the first visitor car to park in the lot. A short time later bus loads of school kids were there, and I ran in to them at the Tomb of the Unknowns. As they arrived there, I moved on....

Wonderful shot Jon. The lighting and colors make it very interesting. Well composed. The subject and title speak for themselves - nice.

I'm glad you got this historical shot before they got there. Were you on a hill, the perspective is excellent. A nice tribute to those who gave their lives.

The light adds a feeling of hope in addition to the somberness of the subject.

Every American, whether by birth or by choice, should visit Arlington to pay respect to those that gave their lives for our Country.

Fantastic, Jon...your photo set inspired me to visit Arlington today since I haven't been in a while...the fall color is still there, but I couldn't capture anything like this!!
