They actually had the Raptor flying at the show!?!
Now I'm really kicking myself for not going this year! Awesome shot!

Yeah, they flew it on Saturday, but not Sunday (while I was there at least). It was part of the USAF Heritage Flight and then did a few fly-bys. :)

Seeing this one aircraft would make the trip for me. You are very fortunate to have witnessed this flight, let alone photograph it. Excellent job.

Thanks!
I hope everyone doesn't start getting sick of plane shots :p I took about 2500 photos between Saturday and Sunday and plan to post many many more. Maybe everyone's just happy that these aren't all tiger/zoo pix!

Wow.
That means the F22 is operational. (They dont usually show things off until theyre in squadron use.)
VERY sweet shot. :)

The F-22 did one of the most amazing manuevers I've ever seen at an airshow by a fast jet. It climbed vertically, reduced thrust until it just hung there, not gaining or losing altitude, standing on its tail. Had to have been 10 seconds of "hover" time. Then, the pilot used the vectored thrust and began dropping the nose and moving forward until the plane was horizontal again and moving at a good clip, but without having lost any appreciable altitude. Quite impressive.
Great shots by the way!

@DC Meatloaf, I almost hit the floor when they did that. Was a WOW moment for sure!

Beautiful shot!
I wish the F-22 had flown (and the weather was nicer) on Friday, when I went to the show... :-(
I'm adding pictures to my set if you're interested; got a nice shot of the Blues in particular... :-)
