Nice capture...you must have a great lens to get that close up of a shot...love the bright flames in the engines. Aim high!

The white is probably condensation, the same effect that creates contrails (which are the cloud looking things left in the wake of an airplane). My dad keeps explaining the physics of it to me, but I keep forgetting--something to do with pressure changes around the wing of the plane as lift is created.

Great capture of the condensation and afterburners. I was at the same show & had a hard time tracking some of those birds.

Great shot. Do they give you any trouble photographing military equipment?
Nikographer [Jon] (72 months ago | reply)
Lol, no... It was an airshow with hundreds of photographers present. They did have restrictions on what you could bring with you though... No backpacks, no camelpacks, and camera bags had to be smaller than 1 cubic foot... No food, no beverages... Other than having to buy 3$ bottles of water it was fine.

You really got a nice jet set (uhm... a set of jets, not jetset).
