A "fun landing" at Reagan National... *updated, added animation in comment

The wind was strong right to left today, 4/1/2006. I've heard from other plane watchers that the trick to landing at National in a cross wind is to dip your wing and let the wind push you down, otherwise you'll muck it up. The above plane landed fine by the way...

Yeah I've been in an airliner that had to use this method to land once before... fun to hear the passengers do a collective gasp as the plane suddenly lurches upon touching down! I guess this happens a bit. Great capture!
