Nice, looks a little like a camera toss but with dots instead of lines. I love the way the shape is actually creating depth, very rythmic.

I like the shapes the light made. Cool experiment!

wonderful experimental camera movement! I hate to ask but was this produced by actually throwing your camera? The camera toss group has indicated they would like to keep the pool very strict, so I have to ask.

Just going back to this one, after experimenting a few "tosses" myself (!). I can get a dot line like that, only with dots, did you use a "flashing" source of light or is it just the movement which is really fast ? Also, what exposure did you se (couldn't find additional info) ? Thanks !

for these photos i had the camera set to manual exposure with ISO 50, f/2.8 and exposure of 15 sec. i was using my canon powershot s60 because it's easier to handle. the light is just a regular tiny little light on an on button on my dvd player. i tried this with other similar little lights and wasn't able to get these little dots. i'm not sure what it is about this light. i have a lot more of these photos to upload just didn't want people to get bored with the idea.

probably the light actually strobes at a rate too fast to see, but the camera catches it...

THIS one is my favorite from the series!
hhmmm most electronic lights flash 60 times a second.. your shutter is open for 15 seconds.. mmm.. that's 900 dots per image, who wants to count and verify the theory?!:) haha
(had my lens question answered here, thanks:)

This is great – you have inspired me to turn off all the lights in my apartment and play around with my camera in the dark.

What a superb image - something the eye does not normally see! And the depth...
indoloony (73 months ago | reply)
amazing depth! I am still trying to figure out how to do that and turn out aesthetic. hehe..
