    This looks like that nest shot of yyellowbird's in terms of location...only this time we get a view of the likely builders! Love these birds. One's nesting right below my window.

    this is actually the same type of nest, & i'm pretty sure those are swallows (though i don't know much about birds really).

    Barn swallows are what you photographed :) I'm guessing that's their nest! (call me a dork but I find it kind of awesome that those little birds can make sculptures on a ceiling out of mud) But we had a Phoebe build the same thing on our house last year so I guess without seeing the parents nearby it's tough to tell.
