knothead

The pine floor was looking at me. I'll need to watch where I step.

Wonderful, Dom. I thought I saw Dick Cheney's face in my hardwood floor this morning, too.

I would have thought that Dick Cheney in a floor is the best place for him.

What a great character .... takes me back to early days when I was unwell and lying in my parents bed, presumably whilst mine was being changed ... staring, through fevered haze, at their mahogany wardrobe and seeing all the wood sprites within .....

I can see them still though the wardrobe has long gone.

lynn, funny how those childhood memories linger. I remember something similar...bedtime in my grandmother's attic in the heat of summer....searching for animal shapes in the knotty pine ceiling.....

I think this would scare me if I saw it in real life, but I startle easily.

This is simply gorgeous. If you ever decide to become a rock star, this should be the cover of your first album/CD.

This is amazing! From the thumbnail it looks just like a woman's face and I wondered if the mouth had been drawn or painted onto the wood; it looked that perfect.
It's definitely fave-worthy, and I'd like to use it in one of my flickr mosaics, with your permission.
