De la Belgique (avec asbeste-ciment en complément).
I already shot that place, several years ago, but I'm too lazy to look for that photograph, at the moment. :-)
Nooo, look: the house are so well ordered.
Thank you Llorenç. I'm not surprised that you prefer this one. :)
      Thank you!

I was just about to say something about that very matter of fact. :D
      Oh yes? Why?
I don't know. I have a nasty tendency to overlook photographs that were easy to do (like this one), and to overestimate these that were uneasy. Taking distance from my own photographer's experience is very difficult to me and choosing between the photographs I post, leave on the hard drive, or simply delete is a painful job.

I continually struggle with "flickr" because of the very reasons you enumerate. Often I will upload "strong images" (in my opinion) only to elicit one or two remarks. This leaves me scratching my head in bewilderment. Then I'll upload an image that I took as a sketch or study and it's not really fully developed as an idea or photograph only to get 100 views and multiple comments. I no longer let this bewilder me. I now just shrug and say to myself .. "who knows what people will like, this is just flickr.."

FWIW my original comments included this photograph as well as the one with the concrete walkway leading towards the house. I believe it's the photograph "preceding" this one. My sentiments on all three are echoed by Mr Locorum! ;D

I think that if we were in a photo gallery, the photographs that would get more attention would be different. I believe that people would stop longer in front of complex photographs, where they would be able to see the global composition and the details. In Flickr, complex photographs are spoiled by the small size and the messy page layout.

Actually, I have the impression that people will often click on a photo, look at it for a few seconds and then move on. The more complex the photo, the less likely it will be to get a response. The size and layout doesn't help much either, it's true.

Merci, merci. I'm afraid that you're right... and that I am not innocent of that behaviour. There are too many good to very good photographs on display here. Ars longa, vita brevis. :-)

Such a strong image, and yes lots of interesting details lurking in and around the shadows. The corrugated iron looks so out of place in this village, and I like that too.

Non, je crois que c'est juste du fer (mouhouhahah).
Me too. It is my favourite "detail", with the 2-colours "curtain" on the right hand side.
