Ghastly Colors of a Ghostly Town

~More false color infrared photos of the ghost town in Nelson, NV. Out of camera the color of these shots are reddish/purple. Some red and blue channel swapping in photoshop yielded some color, but because it is not color that represents what the camera picked up...it is considered "false" color. Green foliage usually comes out yellowisn/white, reds take on bluish hues, and blues take on reddish ones. Really interesting what IR photography can produce.

Wow. Are you using a converted body or a filter on the lens for this? Amazing shot.

every single shot of this deserted town is so amazing....spooky, retro, abandoned and the post-processing is brilliant!

First of all, the subject matter is just perfect. And then the way you shoot and process it is absolutely amazing. I just love the subdued tones and light in this shot. Wonderful! I hope you're enlarging, matting and framing all of these.

    Chris - a Hoya r72 filter. I wish I could get a sharper image...like that of a converted body...

Thanks ladies and gents...it seems that all I got were IR shots. I did manage to squeeze in some color and monochrome ones too. I haven't done IR in a while so I'm kinda letting that beast lose...amongst other ones...8)

Stunning. Incredibly good imagery, here. Natural compositions formed over time and the pack-rattish nature of people. Lovely colors, and exposure, no less.
