"You want me to model again!??" Sashimi

    I was playing with the lamp on my desk :) I try very hard not to use my flash as it means I can't close in on my hams for macros like I really enjoy doing.

    Though I love all my various hams for their differences, Sashimi is the one who makes the best model ^___^ She's very photogenic, calm and enjoys staying still on my hand ^___^

    Ahhhh, I consider myself very blessed :)

      Hello! I have been looking at your blog for your while and love your pictures... Never took the time to post a comment but i really need your help... i bought a couple of Roborovski hamsters today... they are soooo cute, but the problem is that since i bought them, they haven't stop running on the wheel... they keep running on it without drinking of eating... they must be exhausted... I don't know what to do... shall I just let them run? Thank you in advance for any help!

      Sashimi sits for you. Ours don't do that yet. We are learning with them that they need daily contact. Of course Maxie nearly had a nervous breakdown today after her cage fell off its place and broke. She stayed terrified for a long time. Sunny freaked out to because the noise was so loud.

      Hehe they are quite well paid, I think :P Aside from sunflower seeds and sesame seeds, they get doggy chews and other yummy supplements :P :P And of course the occasional broccoli XD Thankies!!

      You are right - they hardly ever do. I have a pair of these and this is the girlie. There's not a chance in the world you could catch the boy and make him sit so still!! :P

      As for your question, why not just remove the wheel?

      Sashimi and Salami hardly get their wheel these days, plus, whenever they do, it doesn't stay in their tank for long. This is because 1. they pee in it and sleep on it, 2. they lose fur on their underbellies/chests from the abrasion and 3. they only seem to mate whenever the wheel is not in the tank.

      Fireworks @____@?? Hehehe ^___^ Somehow I can SO imagine you happily tinting her whiskers a myriad of colours in Photoshop :P Thankies *hugs* ^____^

      It takes a long time with robos, and even after 9 months of being with me they still do not like being picked up. Even Sashimi. She still struggles initially, but when you allow her to walk up and down your arm, that's when she relaxes :)
