    Mochi is Mocha's daddy, and his mom is Mirugai :) He was born right here in my house on 7 March 2007 :)
    There was a litter, but I didn't get to see them - we think they might have been sick or weak. For this reason, I believe it to be a good thing that only Mocha survived.

    He is very curious and quick now. I have to watch him very carefully to make sure he doesn't put inedibles into his pouch. Very soon he will try jumping off things .. now I ain't looking forward to that, no :s

    Generally, all hamsters born here in my house have been handled from when they are newborn, though I only touch them with my hands at six or seven days old. Though I do not encourage anyone to try this with their first hamster litter, I believe this makes them easier to tame in the long run :)

    Unfortunately I am in contact with break.com at the moment to have it taken down.

    I created this video with the original intention of spreading smiles to my own friends. Hooray that it made cuteoverload.com without my doing, but passing off my video as someone elses' is another matter. To top everything off, some of the comments on the video at break.com are overly vulgar and racist.

    I believe this might possibly be the last video I will ever publish online. It simply hurts too much. Why should I get attacked for "being Asian" when I only just wanted to share some happiness with my friends?

    Aww, please don't let the idiots at break.com get to you. The world contains millions upon millions of stupid, abusive people, and break.com is just one of these sites that brings a few thousand of them together in one place. Take some comfort, if you can, in the fact that hundreds of thousands of people watched the video there and probably 99% of them just got a big grin and a warm feeling inside, but didn't bother posting anything about it?

    It probably won't happen again, in any case.

    Yeah it won't happen because I'll never put up another public video of my hamsters. After this incident I felt like moving all my youtube photos to private, but then I thought what's the point - the damage is done.
    I don't think I'd ever be so audacious as to wanna spread a little happiness around ever again. Sigh.
    Thanks anyway, for being so nice and for trying to make me feel a little better :)

    Sorry to hear that you are having troubles stemming from this completely ADORABLE little guy. Some people just don't know how to behave.

    My son told me to google "Mocha the hamster" and when this picture came up on the screen, I squealed so loudly that my dog started barking at me. ALL these pictures are unbelievably cute - my jaws hurt from smiling and making baby noises at them! Today was a rotten day, so thank you VERY MUCH for this wonderful dose of cheer.
