Look, Mom, No Hands!
Photos by ricmic01, riding and (overly agressive) editing by me.
(Not quite as bad at the original size.)
You think you can ride a bicycle? Meet pivoting-boom front-wheel drivecenter steered bikes, and think again! On these, you start back at square one. ...
and then, you no longer need your hands for riding. :-)
(That handlebar is mostly there for the brake levers and for the
shifter.)
(Someone else) in motion.

Btw, I *always* wear a helmet riding my bikes - except in this mini shooting here. Looking at my receding hair line: maybe I should have worn one for these shots, too. :-)

A new Comment!
YOU are SO EXTRME!!
flevobike is an invention made in my birthtown. I live now 30 kilomteres same area other town.
I drive a bike like this WITH a steer a so called understeer.
But my first like this was a very easy to drive famous design from flevobike.
You know ? Flevobike is original father and 2 sons? I think so. They start to make lying bikes at the time not many people were bizzy on that market.
The fabric was in my hometown were I am raised a farm, wich does belong to a very boring town with about 15.000 people. Having a wonderful famous theatre.
Ha ha ha ha ha I wanted a lying bike so off course it must be from my hometown. I did want this bike but the problem was I am 160 cm small and 47 kilo heavy and the design did simply not fit my design. IT IS A MANS WORLD. The brothers were complaining they had to saw that irmon tubes because my short lenght.
Wen I came to pick up my bike..my bike was forgotten to make ready.. I had no money, and I had to wait 2 hours till they made it ready and they did not offer me lunch, funny talks, drinks. I just was sitting there somewere in the building. Ha ha ha ha ha ha in fact AUTISME was RULING in that family..Not for a fun thing to say or suggest but for real real real. It is funny because they had succes all over the world and could expand in a happy way.
Than I had that bike and I was starving from hunger and I did cycle to my parents and eat there and from them I went home wich is 35 kilomteres and many wind.
After 3 months I could say I had it all. The very easy going wild feeling on that bike.
The bike has been stolen. Now I am having a lying bike with understeer wich is difficult to steal wen you have no expiriance and also because my short lenght.
BUT NOW this. this bike is the most famous bike of this company. And strange enough named BIKE and the version with 3 wheels named TRIKE.
AND YES
I have a backyard 40 metres
wooden house named KOTA after 20 metres
and there is standing a real bike like this. THE early FLEVOBIKE
a very early version. and needing surgery of many kind.
GREETZ Astrid

very cool - you look so relaxed. I have always wondered how hard it must be to go up hill on these bikes. You can't stand up on the pedals.....
