It snowed!!

It snowed! It snowed so much, for our habit here in Rome, and it was a wonderful gift!!
I am persuaded when I say that snow is a social gift, I really am. I've never seen people acting that socially and loving and really having fun, all together. Streets were crowded by smiling people, laughing and playing with each other, even strangers. Everyone was outside, dispide the cold, everyone, with their scarves and hats and gloves was in the streets, fighting snowball wars, exploring, being amazed. The houses were empty from the very early morning and children looked with the wider eyes ever.
One thing you could really feel ( not ) : the silence.
It was impressive. You can never really feel the silence in the city, and expecially not during the day; there is always traffic, pollution, car horns, workers in a hurry, bad moods.
Snow makes everything so beautiful, and has the power to quiet every kind of noise, and fight, and to really stop time, as giving us some more extra time just to have fun, as a gift.

( We actually were lucky. Some towns and even some areas in Rome were blocked, without electricity and even water. I don't even wonna think about homeless, and alley animals.
I wish everyone could be safe, because snow really is a gift. )
