Willys MB US Army Jeep

The Willys MB US Army Jeep was manufactured from 1941 to 1945. The small four-wheel drive utility vehicles are considered the iconic World War II Jeep, and inspired many similar light utility vehicles. Over the years, the World War II Jeep later evolved into the "CJ" civilian Jeep. Its counterpart in the German army was the Volkswagen Kübelwagen, also based on a small automobile, but which used an air-cooled engine and lacked 4 wheel drive.

You have my respect for making that bumper perfectly. I've been trying to do that for a long time and have never been able to accomplish it. Good job.

Do any sets have a star sticker that could fit on this?

The bumper was one of the more challenging aspects of the build, and numerous times I thought about giving up and going with the 4l bar instead.

Glad you didn't, that's a pirate hook hand, correct?

  12. Chewk (10 months ago | reply)

    Yes indeed.

I think there is an Exo-Force sticker sheet that has small stars that would fit for this. I'll look it up on BL.

Not that I know, but I have used a custom sticker on mine :-)

Some tiny stars on the side would be nice!

Might it look better without the trans 1 x 1 rounds? I am assuming they are attached to the 3L technic axle with the stud on the end. The reference pics I am looking at show the headlights recessed.

As it is level with the grill, it isn't really a problem.

The Willys jeep is one of my favorite vehicle and yours is excellent. I tried to send you an invitation to join the 5-wide Lego cars' group but it didn't work. If you wish you can apply. No obligation : I don't want to push people.
