Great Robert Frost quote - he's from my town and visit his childhood farmhouse all the time to get inspiration. All my shots with Dani and Sarah where at his farm! :) Anyhow, the photo today is so warm and welcoming! Love the look down the trail into the woods!

How clever of you Chris, to focus on the leaves top left, and blur the rest. A wonderful woodland image.

I see that you got your Nikon back :) I must say that I do like the results, but then maybe that is more a result of the hands holding the camera then the camera itself. I love the DoF in this photo!

I got the first roll from my repaired Leica back a few day ago and I do like the result of the photos I've scanned so far. Judging by the negatives I did a decent job shooting without a light meter. Yesterday I also bought a Seagull 4A (as is) which hopefully will arrive next week and in working order. Worst case scenario is that it will make a beautiful ornament :)

Oh, and one last thing. Last weekend i made some green tea ice cream :) (mixing vanilla ice cream with matcha powder). I might actually go get some now of what was not eaten then :)

i really feel like i could walk right into this scene right now, you know that's not an easy thing to achieve in a frame, but your film work seems to convey this Christine. have a nice weekend.

that looks so lovely chris and yes, those greens are gorgeous. I love the woods and forests at this time of year - we spend many a weekend in epping forest, taking it all in.... have a great weekend chris:-)

      THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!
most likely stuck in a bramble bush kim, looking for photographic opportunities!! ;-)
so right suzi. it's wonderful. so much to learn.
wow. that is so cool. we studied robert frost and his poems as teens. i remember the teacher being a real fan of his works! (yes, those pics of dani and sarah are close-ups of the models, it would be extra cool to see the actual farm on a wider scale. i'd imagine it to be something similar to 'little house on the prairie', or off the set of 'the colour purple'....
such a compliment that it evokes so much feeling stephen. me too! ;-)
yes, your f100 is a gem. the pics u've taken with this are so beautiful, the grain being just so perfect.
no linus, this is my ever so kind brother-in-law's fm. my fm2 is still in hong kong getting the full service; the works. my plan is to get it back before christmas. they said it will take a minimum of 4 wks to get the full treatment. i wait in anticipation! can't wait to see the results from your seagull 4A. how exciting! have always wanted to try out a tlr...
why didn't i think of that? is it as simple as mixing ice cream and matcha? thks for the tip. i'm going to try it out next time i'm at the japanese supermarket ;-)
still have to get to epping forest debby! it looks like there are so so many pic opportunities there!
such a beautiful camera. when choosing off ebay, it was a toss up between a nikkormat ft2 and a nikon fm2. such a tricky decision!

    43. Lιηυѕ [away/不在这儿] (8 months ago | reply)

Ah I see. Fingers crossed! :)
Me too, I've been looking on Yashicas for some time, but bought this Seagull on an impulse. And today also a Halina Viceroy Koniflex. I got to stop buying cameras if I'm ever going to get to Japan for sakura or to get to use the cameras in Kunming :)
Yes. I was actually surprised by how good the result was. I let about 0.75 liters melt to a point where it was just possible to add the matcha into it. I had to use a cutlery knife to mix it, since the ice cream was still so firm. It lost a lot of volume in the process, so I think I came out with about 0.4 liters in the end. I prefer it served with a raspberry sauce, just put some frozen raspberries to boil and add sugar to taste :)
