uh oh, i've been tagged!!!

    sorry, it's taken so long chaps. i kept postponing it (lazeeeee), but thank you for tagging me. it was actually a lot of fun, more than i expected, even though it's quite hard thinking up random facts on the spot....

    here are ten very, very trivial facts about myself!

    1. i really don't think of myself as a photographer per se, but i love fiddling with the settings and hopefully creating prettiness!
    2. i lived in my car at university for 2 nights because i got the dates of the rental agreement mixed up so had no where to go and didn't want to bother anyone - does that mean i have roughed it?
    3. got lost on the pennine moors once and it was pelting with rain. it was in complete darkness and i was alone...it was one of the scariest moments i can remember!
    4. my dad taught me how to drive when i was 15 yrs old. we were driving along one day and noticed we were being followed by a policeman who eventually got us to stop. my bag had miraculously stayed on the roof of the car! (yes, i was driving that slow!)
    5. i worked in hong kong for 10 yrs...it was like having a 10 yr holiday. seriously, it was that good!
    6. once took my children 'out for a walk' and got lost. it took us just over 7 hrs to eventually find our car! (not exaggerating either!)
    7. i looove writing with fountain pens - love the way the ink looks on paper! (i know, but this is getting tricky..)
    8. grew up in the northwest of england and we were the only family of chinese descent in our town! i was the only chinese kid in primary, middle and high school!
    9. i believe in angels and for every evil person, there are definitely 50 good ones at least! (i know...going into major trivia now - but i can't think of anything else...)
    10. i looove cycling and i reckon i can taxi any person (no matter what size) on the back!

      I don't get this tagging thing but did want to say...

      It's about time you posted another self portrait, the last couple you did were fantastic, now please do more, this one's lovely too. I like the framing and how it works with the coy, downward look. All very good.

      Your flower shots are nice but everyone's doing nice flower shots, your SP's are special and unique - please do more.

      Oh wow.... these are such great (and very orignal) facts!! 1. I can see what you mean and I feel the same but your photos are pretty damn good! 2. Yeah that's roughing it and how sweet are you not wanting to bother anyone. 3. I can imagine, I've had times like that in cadets but never on my own. 4. 15?! That's impressive and such a great story!! 5. Il'd love to live abroad, I've visted HK twice but only for a day at a time ( They were stop offs on the way to New Zealand and Australia) I really enjoyed it on my first visit but not so much on the second. 6. I wonder how far you walked in the end....It was probably horrible at the time but I bet it's a great memory and story to tell people. 7. Haha, your facts are great and I like it too, just wish I wrote better with a fountain pens, the biro is my best buddy. 8. Where abouts did you grow up? Did you have a tough time or were things ok for you? 9.That's such a nice thing to think, I wish I had a more possitive view like you :) 10.That is very cool!!

      I've LOVED reading your facts, you need to get tagged more often and do it ;) I might just do another 10 facts thingy....if I can think of any more!! Also, I wanted to say that this SP is lovely, I like the messy nature, the movement captured and your expression all finished off perfectly with those natural and warm tones....gorgeous!

      Chris, this is a gorgeous self portrait! I love the downward glance and softness. 1.) You definitely create prettiness. 2.) That definitely counts as "roughing it." 3. & 6.) How scary for you. I am always afraid of getting lost, so I make someone else come with me for support. 7.) When I was younger, it was important to have nice handwriting, now everything is typed, texted, or instant messaged, a little sad really... 8.) I bet that was a fun experience!

      This is a great list of facts! It's definitely not as easy as some would seem, but you pulled it off nicely. Have a great rest of the weekend!

      so nice to read about you! what a list! i hate being lost, i would panic, it is really one of the worst things that can happen. i feel the same way about photography. i'm probably a bad driver in contrast to you.

      Oh, I love your SP Chris - and you're list makes me chuckle (especially no. 4)! My dad tried to teach me to drive, but gave up after the first couple of lessons - he decided to let the driving school people deal with me - I was that bad! I can see us now, kangaroo hopping along the road!! And you really must take some maps and a compass out with you - he, he:-)) I've been tagged too, but need time to think about my SP and also to pull together 10 interesting facts!

      , , hi guys, yes on the negative side, it wasn't very international back then as it is today with globalisation etc, so there were bad things about it....but on the positive side my childhood is full of many fond memories & i wouldn't have changed it if i could. i'm originally from wigan in lancashire and i went back last yr for the first time in about 20yrs...it was very very strange. (but i could go on forever about this - it's another chapter for another day!)

      no bethan...u don't have to do another...(just trying to get u back that's all!) - only joking chuck! but no, i don't think u'll get into trouble or anything if u just ignore! :-)

      My boyfriend is from Preston up in Lancashire, some great accents up there ;) I'm glad you've got plenty of fond memories and I can image how strange it must have been after such a long time. Your living in London now aren't you? Such a different place there, again love your sp and when I'm feeling more photogenic I will take a picture :)

      Christine!!!! I love this image of you :o) The crop is fantastic & the soft tone/movement is brilliant! Sorry for my delay in commenting, busy birthday weekend here!

      On the fact of number one... you are truly fantastic, your macro shots are amazing, a magnificent photographer you are :o) number two... Uh-oh to that! number three... i have no idea where it is but your description sounds scary enough... boo! number four... hehehehe oops! & wow you were driving at a snail's pace, eh? number five... sounds fabulous! number six... ouch! hate when that happens, i do that all the time at the store, so now i spot a landmark to find my van :-P number seven... ditto, though i always make it smudge! number eight... WOW!!!! Number nine... :o) number ten... biking = fun fun fun!!!!
