HMS Prince of Wales

My English ship, a 4th rate ship of the line, HMS Prince of Wales is finally finished. It took me about 6 month to build the ship, with real sails and hand roped rigging. More than 160 meters of rope was used to make all the rigging. One of my primary goals during the build was historical accuracy.

Special thanks to Captain Green Hair for his very much appreciated advice. Also thanks to Errorist for helping out with the stern and rigging during our building sessions with Captain Green Hair in Amsterdam and Belgium.

Most admirable craft, my friend! This has come out very well, especially the seemingly meticulous rigging.

That is a superb model. Is it based on a real ship?

(I can't imagine that the Navy would assign the name 'Prince of Wales' to a mere 4th Rate though :-) )
