This photo must have been taken in Seattle. It is so cool to see that structure / monument / work of art show up in the occasionally Flickr photo. I remember when it used to be in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, just outside of the Bank One building in the 1990's.

It's funny, I'd just noticed that the plaque noted the artist had died in the 70s so I realized the piece wasn't commissioned for the park--and wondered where it came from and how they got it here.

Here is an article about the history of the Eagle. Apparently, it was originally in Fort Worth, Texas, then moved to Philadelphia, and then finally to Seattle.
Here's a photo of it when it was in Fort Worth. This photo was probably taken in the 70's or 80's.
