--Mike-- says: Here we have time as a dimension in a photographic composite. The photo travels from daytime to night as you go up the frame.

--Mike-- says: The fact that different parts of the image can be from different times also allows the same person or group to appear more than once, as show in this photo.

--Mike-- says: Sometimes it's just the additional time of exposure that is allowed that is required to make a photo, such as this one.

--Mike-- says: Because you don't have to worry about the number of exposures left in a roll of film, you can also get quite creative as with this composite.

--Mike-- says: Here is an example of the use of a focus stack to create am image which has synthetic depth of field far larger than would normally be captured by a camera in a single image.

Macro shots are notorious for having shallow depth of field.

--Mike-- says: Here we see a 360 degree field of view projected into a flat surface for a very interesting effect.

--Mike-- says: Ryan Brenizer created a technique of stitching several images each with small angle of view and small depth of field into a single wide field of view with small depth.

It's a good way to get otherwise unachievable bokeh using affordable lenses.

--Mike-- says: This is a conventional DSLR, mounted on a remote control buggy... a very cool non-traditional use of digital imaging to get the shot that would otherwise be impossible.

--Mike-- says: Here we have a set of colors that can't be seen with the human eye. It's literally more than we can see, having folded infrared into the image.
