Cooper's Hawk with Pigeon Prey

Just when you thought you were out they suck you right back in.....
I was heading out of the park after a beautiful morning to go home to watch the Duel 125s at Daytona.... when all of a sudden I see this immature Cooper's hawk flying over the lake with a pigeon in its talons.....
Needless to say I hurried over to take a look.....
I even pulled out my camera and squeezed off a few shots...!!
I see many Cooper's Hawks in Central Park... but I have never seen one successfully get a Pigeon....
The Pigeon was almost as big as the Cooper's - maybe this bird will grow up to be a super successful hunter.....!!
