I'm a professional fine art landscape photographer from Portland, Oregon. I seek out locations like these to experience true wilderness, away from crowds, cities, and the stress of everyday life. Visiting these wild areas is a form of meditations for me, where I get to completely relax and appreciate the incredible beauty of nature. I try to convey the emotion I was feeling, and the sense of wonder I have when I see such beauty in nature. That expression through my images, is what photography, and art in general is all about for me.

"I find it impossible to believe no one has been moved to write Zack a testimonial since 2008. What's wrong with you people??? Here it goes. I have recently come across Zack's work. I found him when he teamed up with some other talented pnw photogs in to form Photo Cascadia www.photocascadia.... I have been one his biggest fans ever since. The quality of the work that Zack continues to put out there is mind blowing. I am deeply inspired by each and every masterpiece he produces. And not only are his still images good but so are his videos for Photo Cascadia and beyond. So let me make it public now that I am one of his biggest fans. And if you ever get the chance to take one of his workshops you should, your life will be forever changed. Zack, you rock :)"

"Zach is hands down the best landscape photographer I have met on flickr- and he's from Portland too! His shots capture the intricacies of the textures and colors in nature that seem almost too good to be true. Its so hard to find a photographer who really knows what they're doing- but Zach certainly does. If I knew even half of what he knew about photography, I would be a happy girl."

"I have followed Zack's work since seeing his amazing Alvord Sunrise shot about a year ago on photo.net. Since then I have admired his ever-growing portfolio of photography that combines nature at its most beautiful with a perspective that never fails to involve the viewer."

"I've been following Zack's work for years and have continually been blown away by the beauty of his work and the subjects he photographs. Incredibly consistent in his mastery of photography his technique is as much an inspiration as the beauty of his work."

"Very rarely am I so amazed by a photographers skill. I came across Zach's work today, and sat with jaw dropped, studying every picture. Although it is not the largest collection of photos, it sure is one of the best that I've seen on flickr, or anywhere for that matter. His work is the type of photography that keeps me striving to get better, to learn, to get outside more. To me, this is what inspiration is all about. In very short terms, his photography seriously kicks ass, and humbles me to the core. Mother nature should be proud of how graciously he portrays her."
