Aloha,

I am a Canadian girl from landlocked Alberta living out an adventure on the small island of Oahu. How small, well I hear you can drive around it in 3 hours... it takes me 3 hours to drive from Calgary to Edmonton.
Top five unexpected surprises
1. Random chicken sightings. They DO cross the road, though I am not sure why?!
2. Forget Sushi, poke is the island treat. It consists of raw fish spices and a bit of love.
3. People do say and do Aloha.
4. Yes people work and live out here(some friends back home were surprised about that one)
5. Fruit grows everywhere. I used to pick mangos in my local grocery store, now I pick it off the tree in my backyard.
