Why am I here and who am I? My daughters asked me about blogs and online groups sometime ago. At the time, I said that I had no interest in this. But after some thought, I decided to start one here to see where it would lead us. A journey does not start with the first step - but with the decision to make the first step. So I have stuck my foot in this door.
But to quote Bilbo Baggins: Be careful when you walk out your door, this path outside your house also leads to Mordor...
One of the interesting developments of being here is watching my own collection of pictures grow. I have learned things about myself as I photograph the places I have been. And I am not necessarily describing my photographic skills.
Yes, I have learned a little bit more on how to take a photograph, but it is also a look inside of me as I see the types of photographs I took and the perspective of life I had in the moment. Each snapshot, each millisecond of time it took to capture the picture, becomes a kaleidoscope of colour and life and a part of me and my family along the way.
