My name is Karla and I am a homegrown Philadelphia native and aspiring professional artist and crafter…not that it would really happen, especially in this economy, but I’ve been doing it since i was a little girl. I can't really imagine a time when I wasn't either reading, playing music, or making something for someone.

I currently live in a quaint little row home in a so-so part of town, a home I love to decorate and share with my five cats, lab mix, and of course my loving husband.

I love mixing genres when I craft, but I mostly love making earth inspired items such as jewelry, embroidery, and bags and pouches - mostly made from reclaimed materials I find throughout my cellar and thrift and fabric stores in the area. We have a lot of culture in Philadelphia that really helps to influence the mix of style that I have. My love for traveling, camping, hiking, surfing and all thing outdoors also pushed through a LOT in my work, which you can tell with my use of stones and earthy fabrics.

Besides crafting I love cooking, baking, photography, and the outdoors. You'll find a good mixture of all of my interests in my photos here. I love documenting my travels in photo form and have begun uploading some of my very first shots at amateur nature photography. They're not so great the old ones but seeing them has helped me grow more.
