I love exploring what photography has to offer. If someone comes out with a new technique, there's a good chance I'll play around with it or at least evaluate what strengths it has.

So far, I've committed one camera to IR photography, purchased two stereo lenses and a Lensbaby as extras for my kit. I've stitched together images for panoramics, layered them for HDR, converted stereo pairs into anaglyphs and done a bit of stop motion animation.

The funniest part is that in spite of all my experimentation, I still consider composition to be the most important factor in creating a fantastic image. Modern technology has made it easier to get a good exposure and keep the image sharp but I'm getting fed up with "professional" photographers that chop off feet when shooting portraits.

I caught myself starting to rant there. I have learned that when most people ask me what I think of an image what they mean to say is "I'm really proud of this and I want you to tell me it's good" rather than wanting any constructive criticism. In school, I got used to being able to find areas of improvement in just about any image. Just because something is good, doesn't mean it can't be better.
