Hi anybody,

Humor is important to me.

All aspects of human creativity are important to me.

I love Literature, abstract thinking, critical analysis, stream-of-consciousness, experiencing the Sublime, and long walks on the beach.

I am part of a collective that publishes a poetry journal called Merge: An Independent Journal of Convergent Ideas. There is nothing much better, in my opinion, than poetry--but of course better is a relative term. Better than what? I don't know. I like a lot of stuff.

I can run faster than most small children, therefore age is proven effective against youth in a foot race.

My dogs both run faster than me. I have never been in a fistfight. I can draw a straight line pretty good. I like mustard, a lot. I like toast, a lot. The plants I planted are growing. Smells that smell good are my favorite kind of smells.

If you think it is cold here, please do not come live at my house and turn up the heat to eighty degrees, because I think that is too hot and also unnecessary--put on a jacket, I don't care if it doesn't match your shorts and flip-flops. Also, I never arm-wrestle, never, no matter what.

I wish Neruda and Borges would have written some children’s books. Maybe each of them did and I just don't know about it.

There's a lot of stuff I don't know.

I am a huge Willie Nelson fan. When I was a kid, I used to draw a guitar on my stomach, which I would play while singing "On the Road Again".

I don't have any wives.

My friend Chris says the word "outstanding" when he is pleased with something. I think that is a product of his military experience. He is also good at tying knots, which I find fascinating.
