Although I vaguely remember having a point-and-shoot film camera when I was twelve, I never cared for it much back then. I was sort of "re-introduced" into photography late 2002, when I was given a digital compact camera as a christmas present from the company I worked for at the time. The direct feedback of the LCD display in the back was a turning point for me to become very enthusiastic about photography. Pretty quickly, I started reading about both technical and creative aspects of photography and I bought my first DSLR camera by the end of 2004.

Between 2005 and 2008, I was fortunate enough to be sent on various business trips to the United States and even Australia, and came back with some wonderful travel photos.

As of 2009, I’ve been focussing on portrait photography (in addition to my job as freelance web developer). More specifically "strobist" photography: the use of one or more external off-camera flashes for complete creative freedom in lighting a subject. The relatively light weight of the external flashes make it possible to create portable studio in virtually every location.

As such, I greatly enjoy taking care of professional portraits in a variety of environments – in the park, on the beach, in the studio, or wherever!
