Yosemite Dan Carter's photostream  

I've lived in the Yosemite Sierra area of Central California for over 22 years. I started 'adventuring' instead of vacationing 20 years ago. My photos are works in progress as I am now retired and can take time to learn more about my Olympus E500 and apply its digital technology to locations and subjects I've taken "snapshots" of before.
Everyone wants their version of the Ansel Adams iconic photos of Yosemite. Living nearby that fascination wore off after about three years. My goal now is to capture those same iconic subjects in digital color with just enough "twist" from my insider perspective to cause photo viewers to go "hummm . . .that looks like Yosemite but I'm not quite sure where."
