Yorkshire's Finest's photostream  

Hello, I was born in 1965 in Northallerton, In the North Riding Of Yorkshire.

I have always liked trains since my first visit to Darlington Bank Top Station & got my 1st camera, a Pentax K1000 in 1982.

I have posted my railway photos on Flickr to stir peoples memories of many happy hours spent by the lineside when we still had diesel & electric locos worth viewing!

All my shots except one in my photostream are as they came out of the camera, as I prefer my shots as is, warts & all!! There are no photoshopped images here

I moved away from Yorkshire in 1987, when for my sins I joined the Army. During this time, my time by the lineside was limited to annual leave but I tried to get back to the UK 2 or 3 times a year. However in June 1996 I was posted to Abingdon sth of Oxford, I was then out by the lineside more often, especially around the Didcot area.

I left the Army in October 2000.

Since summer 2005, I no longer go out photographing trains owing to the great GM invasion, however I still visit preserved lines from time to time to see & hear a classic diesel!

I'm married to Catherine who i married at Gretna Green back in 2002.
