About learning something in Flickr,
► The race to Explore is first a stimulation, and soon a jail.
Condemning yourself to please as many eyes as you can, to create the most expected surprise possible, to finally trade beneficially comments and fav... You may just find yourself climbing as high as you can in the representation of a stereotype and fall far away from who you are as a photographer.
But interestingly enough, setting yourself free from this rat race allows to explore what is your own vision, and also find real friends, a real public.
This a precious thing I have learned, thanks to Flickr.
Photography,
► Technological Exploratory Art, and with Flickr an even more addictive hobby ! Addicted ? Passionated ? Yop yop for sure !
Numbers and brands,
► I actually never go out without a camera.
__ Now, a mighty Nikon D300...
• AF 24_85mmƒ2.8-4 is my swiss army knife,
• AF 20mmƒ2.8 my new city google,
• manual AIS 85ƒ1.4 and its buddy AIS 105ƒ4 macro are defining new learning curves ...
__ Don't get fool by the hardware. Most of the pictures you will see here have been shot with a brave and excellent Nikon D70 with a 50mm ƒ1.8 D and still sometimes with an aging but courageous and remarkable Nikon 5700...
__ I am also thinking seriously in reanimating my analogic Nikon FE and rebuild a little black and white lab...
__ A couple of hard-working Macs helps me deal with all that...
Meanwhile,
► I use to teach the foundation of Thai Traditional Massage, Chiang Mai, Thailand. Basic meditation techniques, essential philosophic and spiritual concepts, some precise movements, a special attention to the receiver's aspirations tends to give interesting results... to experience... www.feel-first.com
Lately,
► I am back to Graphic User Interface Design, and prepare a web factory, for anybody to simply make clever little community sites around the world... You'll hear about it one day ! ;-)
.................
Some the usual cool ego-toyish flickr adds-on
Darkr...
it is an interesting way to see a lot of pictures and a lot of comments too ! ;-)
a link to the chaos of my interestingness [?!]

Trina Grace says:
"I had the great pleasure of meeting this wonderful soul a few months back. Not only is his photography amazing and telling but his energy and deep love for life overwhelm you. Being around Yorick, you can't help but forget about all the petty things that ever occupied your silly monkey mind. What a wonderful gift this man is to the world. Thank you dear friend. Namaste."

Sonny says:
"Yorick was one of my flickr friends that I felt compelled to meet in person. I am glad I did. He taught me things about himself which led to learning about myself.
Yorick is an outstanding photographer and human being."23rd November, 2007

Stella Gothika says:
"Tonton yoyo graced my site with his presence and I was soon humbled after falling head over heels over his photography. This works continue to live long after the shutter sound dies away and his subjects reach out to the viewer through the film. One can taste, smell and really feel the objects - so alive are they. I am absolutely entranced by the richness of Thailand which he so beautifully portrays, always ensuring that its soul lives and breathes through his art. Thank you for enriching us with your craft!"

-RobW- says:
"Anyone who is feeling at all cynical about life should visit tonton yoyo's stream.
I guarantee that the landscapes will make you appreciate the beauty of the planet, and the portraits will make you smile and feel good about the human race.
You will come away thinking "everything's going to be all right after all". I always do."18th January, 2007
