15 young Italians and 13 young Scots met for the first time in a grandly shabby mansion in Dumfries and Galloway for an unusual project. They spent just one week in August 2011 working together to explore stories of cultural integration, meeting people who've migrated to live in Scotland and sharing their experience.

The Youth In Action Project 'Exploring Stories of Cultural Integration' took place at Allanton House in Auldgirth from 1st to 8th August 2011. The project was funded by The British Council.

Coordinamento Comasco Per La Pace were the Italian partners in this project. Allanton World Peace Sanctuary is the European Sanctuary of the World Peace Prayer Society, an international organisation with NGO status, supporting the United Nations mission for realising World Peace.
