William Vecchietti Ancona (Italy) 21 september 1969

A High School Qualifications in Arts , graphic designer and self-taught, in the early 90s he moves to France where he lives for seven years continuing his artistic education and training. The period in France provides contacts and exchanges with the avant-garde artists of the period and opens new perspectives and aspirations.

In 2007 he is art director and designer of Cupramontana Contemporary Art Festival where he gathers several editors and 80 national and international artists including painting, sculpture, video art, photography, street and land art in the small community of Cupramontana, which receives over 3000 visitors in a week.

He collaborates and participates as an artist since its debut in the 2008 POPUP Festival of Contemporary Art in the Urban space of Ancona which has now arrived to its third edition.

Artist and curator of the street art exposition at the Heart POP Primo Piano Living Gallery in Lecce in 2010, ha has participated to numerous exhibitions and festivals in Italy and abroad since the early 90s.

He is an Eclectic artist constantly searching for a map that might help decode and translate human behavior; in this exploration he uses different ways of expression, ranging from the very traditional to the most innovative ones in a sort of joyful contamination that includes painting, computer graphic, photography, art posters installations, wall painting and projections using a clearly recognizable language made of signs and colours.

Through the filter of sensations he seems to open a magic door disclosing a universe of new colours, lights and amazing energy. Nature releases traces of the real world that reach a stylized forms with a strong symbolic value. Thanks to the use of digital painting, the aquatic floral and forest elements find a new meaning and present their disturbing duality: the world is therefore sometimes inhabited by monstrous figures but these monsters are somehow shifted to another dimension, the dimension of the incisive multiplicity of forms and brilliant colours.

The characters live in a fantastic, imaginary reality, they are unreal creatures belonging to our time but what makes them alive is their expressions, the expressions of the ordinary people walking down the street. Ideas and moments of real life filled with emotional values. The transformation starts from here, through the eyes of the artist who enters their inner life – the “heart” – and helps it emerge from the body dimension, without taboos.

Suspended between past and future, they convey us “messages of love” from the artist, so that an universal language can be spoken, the language of Cosmic Love, the most powerful weapon to destroy the injustices of this planet.

Maestro d'arte, grafico e autodidatta, prosegue la sua formazione artistica nei primi anni '90 in Francia dove vive per 7 anni, venendo a contatto con le principali avanguardie di quel periodo.

Ideatore e art director del festival d’arte contemporanea CuprArte nel 2007 dove riunisce diversi curatori e 80 artisti nazionali e internazionali tra pittura ,scultura ,videoarte ,fotografia , street e land art in un unico paese Cupramontana, che riceve più di 3000 visitatori in una settimana.
Collabora e interviene come artista dal debutto nel 2008 del festival POPUP Ancona arte contemporanea nello spazio urbano giunto alla terza edizione.
Artista e curatore della street art nell’esposizione Cuore POP a Lecce alla PrimoPiano LivinGallery nel 2010, partecipa a numerose mostre e festival in Italia e all’estero dai primi anni ’90.



Eclettico nel ricercare una possibile mappa per decifrare il comportamento umano, utilizza diverse tecniche espressive che spaziano dalle forme più tradizionali a quelle più innovative, in contaminazioni che comprendono pittura, computer, fotografia, realizzando anche installazioni di poster-art, wallpainting e proiezioni, con un linguaggio riconoscibile nel segno e nel cromatismo.

Attraverso il filtro delle sensazioni spalanca una porta magica alla comprensione di nuovi colori, luci e strabilianti energie. Dalla natura sgorgano tracce del mondo reale che raggiungono una forma stilizzata di una forte valenza simbolica. Elementi acquatici, floreali e boschivi con l'intervento digitale e pittorico vengono a far parte di un mondo a volte inquietante, abitato da figure anche mostruose, ma allontanate in una dimensione 'altra' dall'incisività della molteplicità di forme e della brillantezza dei colori.
I personaggi abitano realtà fantastiche, immaginarie, sono creature che appartengono al nostro tempo, ciò che resta ben viva è l'espressione, quella di persone comuni che s'incontrano camminando per strada. Spunti e attimi di vita vissuta carichi di valori emozionali. Da qui parte la trasformazione, attraverso lo sguardo dell'artista che ne penetra l'interiorità - il "cuore" - per farla uscire dalla dimensione del corpo, senza tabù.
Sospese tra passato e futuro, esse ci inviano i "messaggi di amore" dell'artista, affinchè si arrivi a parlare un linguaggio universale, quello dell'Amore Cosmico, l'arma più potente per distruggere le ingiustizie di questo pianeta.
