I love traveling and taking photographs of things I see. I have yet made it to many places, but that is a life-long goal.

In my photographs, I try to capture the small details that is often times overlooked by many people either because of ignorance or just because they are too small to be seen normally with the naked eyes.

Even though I am classified as a "mycoligst" I also really love plants. I love the forms and variations of forms in plants. They make very interesting and lively subjects to capture. I also really like taxonomy so I try to ID my subjects to as close a name as I can.

I also really like art and have been painting since I was 12. I recently uploaded my art to Flickr. They represent most of what I did for the past 11 years and you will notice that there are different levels of sophistication and styles.

For the rest of the time, I'm a graduate student in the Department of Plant and Microbiology at UC Berkeley. The San Francisco Bay area is a neat place for many things, and botanics is one of those great things. The wild areas only a drive away are stunningly beautiful and are worth every photograph. I have only just begun. There is much more to explore, and there is much more to appreciate, to assimilate and to learn.
