We have always shared a love of all things arcane, magical and otherworldly. We whiled away many hours in the Pre-Raphaelite section at Birmingham Art Gallery and spent our evenings draped around our candlelit flat recreating the paintings, wearing salvaged antique dresses from Birmingham's old Rag Market.

Back in the day, we expressed our creative sides through making our own ostentatious outfits and designing elaborate hairdos and make up.
We would parade our creations around the dancefloors of Birmingham’s Goth haunts while we sipped our vodka and sucked in our cheeks.

But although everyone has to grow up sometime, our creative urge has never left us, nor have our old passions and inspirations, so Wychbury was born.

Wychbury is now run by Lesley and Paula from the middle of England! We have brought Textile Art and Jewellery Design together to create a range of handcrafted gifts that reflect our shared passions. Our work is inspired by the natural world, ancient sites, the elements, gothic and renaissance design and pagan and mediaeval imagery. We sell our wares at events in the Midlands, Shropshire and Yorkshire and on our website www.wychbury.org and in our Etsy store.
