I am a graduate student in southern Appalachia, where I study Medieval Literature and have been known to play a little curling. I'm originally from the Rockies and try to take as many pictures as possible while I'm there.

Another thing you should know is that I am an absolute fiend about free exchange of intellectual and cultural property, and a lot of the pictures I take are intended for use as illustration material and clip art. Most of the pictures are CC licensed for non-commercial use, so as long as you abide by the Creative Commons license I am happy for you to use them for personal, non-commercial or educational purposes!

You will run into a few with a full copyright, but those pictures often are managed by more than just Flickr for licensing. Don't despair! You can often find pics of similar subjects in my photostream for free use.

So, search! Use! Print, publish and enjoy! And if you're a comp-er, I'd be thrilled to see what you do with them...
