My boy and I

Beware - cute pictures of a certain kid are abundant on this account. Mostly for the grandparents, who are across the country and don't get to see him very often.

There are, however, pictures of cats, food, vacation pictures and stupid pictures of random things.

I'm a mom full time, a part time cook, a part time (but not enough time) baker, a part time (but not nearly enough time) photographer and a part time self-confessed smart ass. It keeps things fun and interesting.

- Food - cooking it, eating it, reading about it, studying it, taking pictures of it, cleaning up the dishes after it.....well, maybe not that
- Anything Dutch (since I am part Dutch)
- Anything Canadian (there, that answers the question of what the other part is)
- Kitty cats
- Running
- Beer (especially any beer not made by the Coors company)
- Books
- Cross stitching
- Sports, especially hockey (I'm a Canuck, after all). And yes, I'm a Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
- Cookbooks. You can't have too many. Well, maybe you can. (almost)
- People with a sense of humor
- Traveling (but not lately, with the new stupid travel restrictions)
- Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers. Especially the Jalapeno Cheddar flavor. Damn, they're addicting.
- Snorkeling in warm, jellyfish-free water
- Hockey fights
- Techno music
- Good donuts. I miss the old made-at-the-store-from-scratch ones at Tim Hortons (of course, I'm at least 1000 miles from the nearest Timmys now...[sigh]). I am on a quest for the perfect chocolate cake donut. Upon finding it, my life will be complete.

- Arcane food regulations (I want to be able to get food packages from Canada. And if I want to eat raw milk cheese, then I should be able to do so, dammit!)
