Learning more about photography has been on my someday/maybe list for a long, long time. Found a DSLR on sale and took the plunge. Now I'm dog-paddling for my life.

It's been a long time since I've learned something new -- something really, really new where I had almost no frame of reference at all. It's a challenge and it's good for me. But man, does it ever feel awkward sometimes. No one likes to look like a fool, least of all me, but sometimes that's the only way to learn and grow.
