I grew up on a farm in Shelby County, Alabama and was never at a loss for something to do. “Give me some rocks and I’ll have a city; give me some dirt and I’ll have a world; give me a sky and I’ll have no limits.” But just like a lot of kids, I began to doubt my creativity and lose my imagination as I grew older.

One day, while working on a project that required me to be creative, I fell into a daydream and was visited by the Angel of Imagination. The angel took me on a trip to my childhood where I was reminded of all my imaginative play with blocks of wood from my father’s workshop, old cardboard boxes and sticks from the yard.

I found my imagination again and was inspired to write a book. I have since used my imagination to write, direct and produce an independent film, write and perform music in a rock band and peddle goods in the corporate world. I teach creative thinking at the Imagination Ranch and live in North Carolina with my beautiful wife and wildly creative son.
