The Worldwide Fistula Fund is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting international medical education and research on the problem of obstetrical trauma in the developing world.
We are currently building a fistula hospital and clinical training center in Danja, Niger, with plans to create similar facilities in additional countries in the developing world. Niger was chosen because its needs are overwhelming. A country twice the size of Texas, Niger has few facilities that can treat fistulas, and only two do so with any regularity.
