Earlier youth brought the opportunity for ex-pat style travel - I would live and work in a place for 3 months to a year and a half and really get to experience what a place was like. If I was lucky, I would pick up the language, opening the door to culture that cannot be experienced otherwise.

Now, my wife and I make it a point to have an annual trip to a far-away (sometimes "godforsaken") place that people usually ask, "why would you go there." It is in these places that a person learns more about one's self than at the comforts of home.

Adventure is a frame of mind. Luckily, we capture frames of these places and share them with the world. While there are thousands more photos that I will eventually upload, this marks the point where I got my first digital camera.
