Most of my photographs are taken around where I live in Central Victoria.
I only went seriously digital in 2007 when I bought my Nikon D80. Before that I had a Nikon coolpix for snapshots which was so light and portable I found I started leaving my canon film SLR at home. Looking at those frames now I find they don't compare well with either the D80 or my film camera. I was leant a Panasonic FZ for a trip to New Zealand back in 2006. I was very happy with the way the panasonic performed and liked being able to alter the aspect ratio while shooting but I find I much prefer working with SLR viewfinders.
Apart from photography I play recorders and accordions in a band called Ricketty Bridge and at various folk sessions around Central Victoria.
