Photography is in my blood. My Grandfather even engineered some of the enormous machines that Kodak used to coat their film. I have been taking pictures since that same grandfather gave me a Kodak 110 and promised to pay for my processing.

But somewhere along the line of growing up I sort of lost track of the artistry of photography. I got caught in in the snap shot trap and didn't take the time to really explore the world through my camera. Slowly over the last few years that has changed.

It started as me just wanting to take interesting picture to serve as computer desktop images, but that simple act relight the candle of inspiration and I am now enjoying a renaissance of my photographic skills.

Man that sounds corny.... :)

Anyway, I have been furth inspired by photosharing sites as a place to cshare my photography as well as a place to learn and be inspired by others work. My photographic home on the net is Zooomr.

Most of my Artistic Photography goes there first. I heard it put once. that if Flickr is the Super Walmart of Photos, then Zooomr is the local Coffeeshop with a table of friends.

Zooomr just feels like home to me, the other photgraphers there both encourage and inspire me to want to get out and shoot every day.

So why am I on flickr at all? Well if you want your work to be seen, you pretty much have to be here. And some of my friends are here and not on Zooomr.

So What I put up here is the best of my work that is on Zooomr, and/or part of different photo competitions or challenges.
