Hello,
let’s try this again. My name is Witold Riedel and I am a traveling creative director who also takes pictures. I have been taking pictures for several decades now, sometimes with more dedication, and sometimes with less.
Because of the nature of my work, I am on the road and in the air quite a bit. And so photography is slowly turning into something I can hold on to.
Taking pictures is not my main task, thus I am only able to spend a relatively small amount of time on it. I still seem to take about 200 pictures a day on average (according to the counter on my camera). It is sometimes more, and there are some days without any pictures; but few.

Many of the photos you will find here are just snapshots of strangers passing me in the street somewhere. I actually take most of my pictures without looking through the rangefinder of my camera.
I shoot most of the stuff here with a Leica M9. Dependent on the day, the light, and the environment I am in, pictures are shot with different lenses. It is all pretty common sense stuff.
(I shoot film too! Love it. I shoot with a Leica MP, a Konica Hexar RF, with a Leica Minilux, and even an old Praktina FX.)

I have been with Flickr since it was in beta. I used it as a dumping ground for photographs shot to illustrate stories on my old blog, at first. Now I try to publish about five pictures a day. I do not have much time to keep up a blog. But I am on facebook, and you will find me on twitter too. But barely.

Flickr has been a nice place to meet other photographers. I just recently met with friends I found here. We shot in some very old alleys in Beijing, for example. It was really great fun.

Feel free to add me, or send me a note. I am sometimes very bad about adding people back or answering emails right away, but I try.

If you are representing a group, please do not post those gigantic blinking banners into my comments. I tend to delete them.
