I was an IT Tutor before ill health forced me into early retirement and I now try to keep active in the voluntary and community sector. I moved into sheltered accommodation in Wistaston on 1st October 2009. The flat is a ten minute bus ride from Crewe town centre but only a five minute walk from open countryside.

Mobility problems mean I don't get out much but there are communal gardens here that attract a variety of birds and other wildlife. My latest venture is trying to turn the communal garden into a disabled friendly wildlife garden.

I spend a lot of time taking photographs of the wildlife that lives in and around the garden and I am trying to get at least one half decent picture of every species visitor to my garden.
