Well, I've been here for three years now and I'm still a big fan of Flickr - I never cease to be amazed at the variety on here, and the friendliness of people all over the world to each other. It's also a great place for me to show my photos to anyone who might be interested. I also like to include information with my photos: history, topical news, even personal stuff. I don't have a blog, so I suppose effectively this is my blog page as well.

I'm a London-based snapper who uses an old Sony compact, and I am slowly (emphasise: slowly) mastering an Olympus DSLR. I tend to keep things simple and don't edit much apart from cropping and straightening up - thank heavens for the digital revolution. I'll leave real film for those who are far more skilled than I am ever likely to be.

I started off using Flickr for sharing transport-related photos; however there are so many things that catch my eye or that I want to share, so I don't restrict myself - although you won't find anything that won't pass Flickr's 'safe' filter. So there's a mixture of transport, stuff from travelling around and lots from my local area - I'm the most prolific contributor to the Tower Hamlets Flickr group by some margin. Just use my collections and sets to choose what interests you.

My photos are all set to to "Attribution non-commercial no-derivs" Creative Commons - this means I am happy for them to be used non-commercially provided I get the credit. If you want to use any of my photos commercially please feel free to ask. I'll be so flattered (on second thoughts: I'll probably be so shocked) that I will probably say yes.

I trained as a Clerkenwell and Islington Tour Guide in 2009, and followed this up by becoming a City of London Tour Guide in June 2011. I have also done some work with London City Steps which is aiming to introduce tour guiding to young unemployed people.

I am happily partnered. My partner is also happily partnered.

If you are a UK photographer, get to know your rights as in many cases, when someone tries to stop you taking photographs they have no right to do so and can be challenged. This is the best giude I have seen: www.urban75.org/photos/photographers-rights-and-the-law.html
