This site is devoted to historic images of Winster, Derbyshire, England, and some of the people who have lived there. I hope you enjoy it.

The site celebrated its 3rd Birthday on 1st June 2011 by which time it had had 42757 visitors. By 1 May 2012 total visitors had risen to 51718. November 2009 was a record month - there were 2690 visitors and in April 2011 there were 1191. In February 2012 there were 932. Please keep coming back to enjoy the site and to see if there is anything new and please tell other people about it.

The site is under continual review as the content grows.

There are bound to be some errors of fact and identification: if you spot one (or more) please let me know and I'll correct them.

Indeed, if you have any images which you would like to see on this site then send me a jpeg scan with as much information about the images that you can muster and I'll be grateful to you.

I was born in Winster and, although I have not lived there for some 46 years, still regard it as "home."
